Gord was always full of passion and kindness, he filled rooms with his unique blend of wit and friendliness.
We met at high school and it was my first year moving to Canada. Gord, Noel, and Don took me under their wings and helped me through the good times and the bad.
His intellect captivated all of us as we journeyed together from high school into university and beyond.
We shared unforgettable moments playing Hearts, vigorous workouts at U of A gym, invigorating games of racquetball and hockey still remain fresh in my hearts.
Despite the loss of contact over years, the memory of this selfless soul is everlasting. '

Gordon will be greatly missed by all of us. I enjoyed working with Gordon for many years at NEC America, Inc. in Herndon, Virginia. He was a great guy and a good friend. Dear. Violetta,
We just found out about Your dear Gordon’s passing! My heart always thought about you people, and I had hoped some day the girls would reunite. We are so sorry to hear of this! I have been laid up for several months and have just started being able to get around again. We would have been there if I had only found out a little sooner! We always enjoyed being with y’all! I know this is a horribly difficult time for you, and my heart aches for you right now. I will certainly be praying for y’all, and when you are ready to reach out please give me a call or text if you would like. It makes me feel sad when we lose touch with people. Gordon was a life-long friend, more like a brother than anything else. We laughed, we fought, and we grew. Gordon and his family are part of some of my fondest childhood memories.
I know Gordon as a passionate, caring and sometimes stubborn man, who valued family and friendship above all else. He fought his health issues bravely and gave every ounce of his strength to that challenge.
I hope he rests in peace and offer my condolences to Violetta, Isabella, his parents and his siblings. He will be dearly missed.

Sorry I was late getting to your party Gord, but you didn’t want your friends worrying about you. Though I had heard through the grapevine that things were not going well, I had to respect your wishes that I not be “in the know.” Imagine that, a little respect after many decades of having great laughs at each others expense. After all these years of taking turns pissing each other off (some of the best memories I’ll ever have) I’ll finally have to say something nice about you.
I admire you Gord for chasing after life and squeezing as much out of life as you possibly could. I’ll miss you bro and I love you bro; I’m quite sure you’re sitting on the other side right now with that smile on your face, as you’ve gotten the last laugh on me.

I was grateful to have worked with Gordon since 2000 when he came to NEC. Also till last year when I left Lumen. He was a great leader and friend. We worked on the AT&T deployment together and found out we both like fishing. So here are some of the good times we had. You will greatly be missed. I am fortunate to have worked together with Gordon for a number of years. From the start, Gordon quickly became a cherished friend. I was immediately inspired by Gordon's professionalism, work ethic, class and Zen-like nature that pushed me to achieve beyond what I had ever imagined at work, in outside activities, and with my own family, because Gordon was a role-model with his relentless pursuit of excellence in all that he achieved.
Gordon and I we were able to spend time after work and on the weekends dragon boat racing (which Gordon organized and we won!), soccer, racquetball (he may or may not have lost a tooth and it wasn't me!), and he re-introduced me to the Canadian national sport of Hockey- which I at first declined but only after Gordon gave me a full set of hockey gear did I get back into the sport after a 28 year hiatus. The connections that Gordon orchestrated continue to add value to my life and I'm forever grateful for what he's provided for me because of his unwavering friendship.
Gordon is for me, the definition of a true friend, I will always cherish our short time together. His dedication to his friends and shirt-off his back mentality was only surpassed by his eternal love for his family Violeta and Isabella, as proven by his daily expressions of caring and love which I immediately noticed at each of the various family celebrations and food events we attended at Gordon's place and mine.
To Violeta and Isabella and to Gordon's entire family, please accept my deepest condolences and prayers so you may achieve peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love at this time of sorrow. You have have my full support in every moment. I am thinking of you and sending caring thoughts your way to support you through this. I will always remember the great times with Gordon!
