Obituary of Donna Lee Armani

Donna Lee Armani passed away peacefully on August 3, 2023 at INOVA Lansdowne.  Donna was the oldest child of Robert and Marian True and grew up in Vienna, Virginia with her sister Linda True.  She graduated from James Madison High School and later attended George Mason University. Donna worked for 20 years as a teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools. She enjoyed the subject of chemistry and working with her students the most. Donna met Tom while he was stationed at Bolling Air Force Base.

Donna married Tom on February 19, 1972, and they were married for over 48 years and have two children: Linda born in 1973 and Brenda born in 1974.  After retiring from the Loudoun County Public Schools in 2015, Donna spent time volunteering with the Muse Family Reunion Association. 

Donna was a huge baseball and football fan. She rooted for the Washington Nationals and Washington Football Team.  She will be remembered as a woman who always had a smile and cared about those around her.  Donna was dedicated to her faith, family, and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Tom Armani, her parents Robert and Marian True, her in-laws Marco and Claire Armani, and her brother-in-law Michael Kott. 

Donna is survived by her sister Linda, her daughters Linda and Brenda, her son-in law Michael, and her granddaughter Katie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Disabled Veterans of America.
