To the John O'Hara family: I had the pleasure of working with John at NGA. He treated everyone respectfully and worked diligently to assist the men and women of our agency. I will always remember his accent and the smile on his face when I would see him in meetings or in the hallway. His passing hit all of us very hard at work as John was so well loved, highly regarded and respected. I know I will miss him dearly. Though no words can possibly ease the pain you are feeling, please know we are thinking of you and praying you will find peace and solace during this extraordinarily difficult time. Sincerely, Jo-Ellen Adkins

I supported Mr. O'Hara in the closing of CIFA. A gentleman with a quick whit, a strong leader with a kind heart. We will forever remember "It is what it is."

To the O'hara family. The world is now a lesser place because of the passing of John O'Hara. He was my dear friend, adopted big brother, teacher and mentor. He was one of the best persons I ever had the privilege to know and my life and so many others have been enriched because of knowing him and the special nature of the relationships he had with us all. He was a true patriot, a great man, loving father, son, brother, wonderful person and true role model as a human being. A famous person once said "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give". This was John. We were all his “buddies” and we all knew “it is what it is”. We will miss him dearly. May God grant his grace and comfort upon all of the O'hara family and those of us in his extended family during this time of need. In the words of the traditional Irish Blessing, “May the road rise to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand”. Rest in Peace My Dear Friend.

Dear O'Hara Family, Please accept my deepest sympathy at the passing of John. I had the pleasure and honor of working with John at NGA and had tremendous respect for him both as a professional, but even more as a person. His decency and humanity was always apparent in his work and his relationships. I looked at John as both a mentor and a model of the consummate government professional. Moreover, I admired him for his love of hiking and enjoyed hearing stories of his adventures on the Appalachian Trail. John will be missed, but always remembered.

Mirian, Erin and Sean, Words cannot express how sorry we are of your loss. We are so thankful that we got to meet John and spend some valuable time together. In the time we spent we had some great laughs and saw his passion for life and family as well as his dedication to serve his country. We are sorry we weren't able to spend more time with him. Are thoughts and prayers will remain to help you get through this difficult time. All our love, Karen and George
