I’m deeply saddened by the passing of Michael. Me and my whole family are offering our prayers and condolences. I know he is in the company of our Lord Jesus Christ, Mother Mary, all the angels and Saints in heaven. I will always remember Michael as the sweetest, calm, happy and full of life child. I will always remember his shy smile, loving & courteous demeanor. You will be missed Michael. We love you.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Michael but heard from my wife that he had been offering up some of his own suffering and pain for me while I was hospitalized earlier this year (and facing far less strife than he). I was thoroughly touched and completely humbled by his courage and kindness on my behalf, someone he had of course likewise never met. I resolved from that moment forward to make continual personal offerings for Michael through his sickness and will now do so for the peaceful repose of his soul, about which there can certainly be no doubt. - Babo

I was moved seeing Michael walk up to Communion at daily Mass at Christ the Redeemer. He had a slight limp and was probably in pain but he kept going. He kept going with his quiet determination.

One day my wife Cathy went to confession at Christ the Redeemer. The line was long and she decided to leave and come another day. As she started to walk out, she looked up and saw Michael in his wheelchair struggling to push himself toward the confessional. He inspired her to stay. That is what Michael did these past months, inspired us all.
