Obituary of Vernette Rosemary Michanco

Vernette Rosemary Michanco passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 98. She was born on February 18, 1925, in Merrill, Wisconsin to Leo and Anna Mischke. Vernette met the love of her life Walter in Chicago during the World War II and were married soon after.

Vernette was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, her daughter Kathy, sons Butch and  Rob, and daughter-in-law Sharon.

She is survived by her loving children, Barbara and her husband Bill, Mary, and Leo, along with her grandchildren: Jennifer, Kristen (Matthew),  Matthew, Wade, Chris (Sam), Nick, Paige, Ryan (Darian), Shawn, and Scott. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Kyleah, Kayleigh, Cameron, Jazalynn, and Colson.

Vernette was a kind and loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved sharing stories about growing up on the farm and milking the cows, playing bingo and cards with friends, bowling, word searches, flowers, collecting turtles and mice, and spending time with loved ones.
