Obituary of Sher Singh Gosain

Sher Singh Gosain, 87 years old, of Herndon, Virginia passed away peacefully on September 6th, 2023.

 

He was born to parents Kundan Singh Patwal and Sadevi Devi on November 26, 1935 in Pauri Gadwaal, India.  

 

Gosainji graduated high school in 1956 from Modi Science and Commerce College, Modi Nagar, India and from the University of Delhi, India with a Bachelor of Arts in 1972.  Gosainji owned Today’s Traveler for 30 + years and retired at age 81. He used his travel agency to facilitate travel to and from India and helped many Indian families settle in the United States to pursue brighter futures.

 

Gosainji considered marrying Saroj his finest accomplishment. They were married in 1961 and had four children.  Gosainji is survived by daughters Geeta (husband Rakesh), son Dinesh (wife Chitra), daughter Gayatri (husband Ariel), and son-in-law Ajay. He is also survived by grandkids, Udit (wife Nadira), Shiva, Aditya, Anand, Manisha, Vishal, Andre, and Cassandra.  Gosainji was predeceased by daughter Anita and his parents and only brother, Gamal Singh.

 

The memorial service will be held on Sunday September 10, 2023.

Viewing will take place from 1100 to 1200 followed by Indian funeral services at 12 p.m. at:
