Obituary of Marie Preziotti

Marie (Messineo) Preziotti died in her sleep on 8 September 2023 in Herndon, Virginia at the age of 95.  Marie is survived by her spouse Dominick J. Preziotti, 3 sons – Gerard Preziotti, and wife Paula, of Columbia, MD; Richard Preziotti, and wife Robin, of Canton, GA; and John Preziotti, and wife Ellen, of Ashburn, Va, and 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Marie was born on 16 July 1928 in New York City, New York to Alberto Messineo and Francesca (La Colla) Messineo.  As a young woman she was active in the Girl Scouts of the USA and served as Treasurer of her graduating class at the Manhattan High School of Women’s Garment Trades in 1946.  She went on to leverage her training as a seamstress to work in the wedding fashion industry in Manhattan.  She married Dominick in January 1952 and was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.  She was an accomplished seamstress and gourmet cook who mastered multiple cuisines and avidly taught her skills to others.

A funeral will be scheduled at a later date in Barnegat, NJ where Marie lived for many happy years with her husband Dominick as an active member of the Italian American Cultural Club and a Classy Lassie in the Red Hat Society.
