Obituary of Charlcie Marie Eppard

Charlcie Marie Eppard, long-time resident of  Herndon, died on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the age of 94. She was born on October 8, 1928 to Fred and Elsie Scott and remained in the area to raise her family.

Charlcie was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Bobby Smith and two sons, Joe and Dale Dawson.  

Charlcie is survived by her only brother, Alonzo (Lonnie) Scott and her sister-in-law, Faith, with whom she had a very special relationship. She leaves a son, Wayne Dawson and his wife, Linda, and a daughter, Linda Albers and son-in-law, Bob.

She was Mom to 5 children, Lois, Joe, Wayne, Linda and Dale.  Grandma to 9 grandchildren, Tom, Melissa, Tim, Wayne Jr, Shawn, Bonnie, Cindy, Brian and Amy. Nana to 16 great grandchildren and 16great, great grandchildren and Aunt Chick to many nieces and nephews. She was so very proud to have had 5 living generations to spend time with.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 9, 2023 at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.
