My last memory of my absent father was when he told me that I had a new father when I was 11. When he learned that my mother was getting remarried he was very bitter. I also remember very vividly that when I went to visit him in the house i grew up in for the 1st time after my parents divorce at 8 years old I used my key to let myself in and he was in bed with his secretary who he later married and had 2 more children with who are my half siblings who I have never met. My father walked out of my life when i was 11. I very vividly remember him beating my mother. Another memory is when he took me and my sister and his wife Patricia to Friendlies and
he turned to me and said you're pretty and I said thank you and he said pretty ugly. I was devastated. No one had ever called me ugly except for my father. I was his first born child and he could care less about me. He missed out on my whole life; he never attended my high school graduation or either of my college graduations. I also remember me asking him if he could help me buy books for school, i called him and explained i was broke he said no, ask your mother. I will always remember that. He missed out on my son's life. His grandson who looks exactly like him, blonde straight hair
, blue eyes and even has his long legs that he bends in his sleep like Robert did. I remember a very mean spirited, drunk, lost ,pathetic man my father Robert Otten. May you rot. Robert Otten.

I met Bob at one of the local car cruise-ins in our area and he joined our Corvette club. You won't find a man with a greater love of country than Bob. He would regale us with stories from abroad and was one of the most affable and generous people I've ever met. I'll never forget when he bought us a round of ice cream cones on a hot August day and getting us all lost on the way to one of his favorite restaurants. I will truly miss his presence at our events.
