Obituary of Jeffrey Avila Lopez

Jeffrey Anthony Avila Lopez, Herndon, Virginia, passed away on October 8th 2023.

Jeffrey was born in Fairfax Virginia June 21st, 1999. He grew up in Reston, Virginia and graduated from South Lakes High School. The son of Jessica Del Rocio Avila Lopez, Jeffrey was also raised by his grandmother Luz Maria Lopez De Avila (Mama Luz) and his grandfather, Guillermo Avila Martinez (Pops). To Jeffrey, his father was Guillermo, who raised him as his own son, ‘su nińo’. After graduating from high school, Jeffrey took on various jobs working in retail before finally working in the construction industry as a lead installer at Miller Paneling Specialties in their Virginia branch.

Jeffrey’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. Taking care of his mother, Mami, and Pops. He loved and lived for his siblings Michelle Luz Avila, Guillermo Andres Avila, Lesley Avila, and Luz Leila Avila, He was the world to his ‘nephews’ (Marco, Leo, & Julian) and ‘niece’ (Emilia) and the little brother to his uncles. He also enjoyed playing soccer and was a huge fan of MMA.

Jeffrey is survived by his mother Jessica Del Rocio Avila Lopez, his grandmother Luz Maria Lopez De Avila (Mama Luz), his grandfather Guillermo Avila Martinez (Pops), his sisters Michelle Luz Avila Lopez, Luz Leila Avila Lopez, & Lesley Isabel Avila Lopez, his brother Guillermo Andres Avila Lopez, his uncle Abraham Avila Lopez, married to Stephanie Ivonne Avila and their children, Leo Gabriel Avila and Emilia Catalina Avila, his uncle Andres Avila Lopez married to Diana Carolina Contreras and their children Marco Andres Avila and Julian Alessandro Avila, his uncle Hector Moises Avila Lopez, his uncle Paulo Steven Avila Lopez, and his uncle Christopher William Avila Lopez.
