When our children were born, one of our cats decided he had enough of crying babies and moved in next door! Nikki said she had always been allergic to cats until Sammy came along. She loved that cat, and she and Charlie gave him such a good life! We would visit occasionally, and quickly learned he was living a life of luxury. Not many neighbors would have been so kind, but that’s just who she was, all the time.

Nikki was such a wonderful colleague and friend. She always positive and talked about KC & Charlotte with such joy & pride. The day before she gave birth to Charlotte she still remembered my birthday & insisted on cutting the cake we had in the office. I am grateful to have known her.

I have such a fond memory of walking in San Diego at Balboa park with the O’Malleys and our puppies. It was a beautiful and sunny day, we were laughing and catching up while they visited on the west coast. Another great memory is of holiday dinner with our families and the wonderful treats baked by the O’Malleys!
Such strength and determination was demonstrated by Nikki over these last few years. It is truly admirable. I am so happy that she was able to spend time with James and watch K.C. and Molly’s family grow. Nikki will be dearly missed by all.
