Celia Elepano Peralta
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Celia Elepano Peralta, age 80, of Dulles, Virginia, who peacefully departed this world on November 8, 2023. She was born on November 22, 1942, in Calamba Laguna, Philippines, to the late Judge Artemio Elepano and Sofia Halili Elepano.
Celia's journey began at St. John Academy High School, where she graduated in 1959 with distinction, earning a full scholarship to the University of the Philippines. In 1963, she proudly received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and underwent training at the UP-Philippine General Hospital. Her pursuit of knowledge and adventure led her to the USA for two years, then to Quebec, Canada, and eventually on a world tour with friends. Returning to the Philippines, she assumed the role of Head Nurse in the officer’s ward for the Army, where fate introduced her to the love of her life, Dr. Antonio Peralta.
Celia was a loving wife, mother, Lola, sister, and friend. Her infectious smile could light up any room, and she loved to dance which brought joy to those around her. Devoted to her Catholic faith, she lived a life exemplifying compassion, strength, and unwavering love for her family.
Celia was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Martinez Peralta, her parents, Artemio Elepano, and Sofia Halili Elepano, and her brother Cesar Elepano.
She is survived by her sons, Tony Peralta, Jr. and spouse Margie Peralta, Alan Peralta, and Michael Peralta; her daughter Anne Jordan and spouse Aaron Jordan; and her cherished grandchildren, Sofia Kwok, Adrian Kwok, Ellie Jordan, and Joshua Harper.
Additionally, Celia leaves behind her siblings, Anicia Elepano Baylosis, Amelia Elepano Sanico, Arturo Elepano, and Arnold Elepano, along with a wide circle of relatives and friends.
- A celebration of Celia's life will take place at Corpus Christi Catholic Church on November 28, 2023. The viewing will be at 1pm immediately following mass at 2pm.
