Obituary of Anita Grace Ragonese

Anita Grace Ragonese was born in Cleveland, Ohio to mother Frances Savoca Ragonese and father Joseph Ragonese.  She is survived by several nieces and nephews in Maryland and Virginia, as well as their children.

Anita moved to Virginia in the late 70’s.  In 1980 she began her career as a real estate agent in the Sterling/Herndon area and in 1986 she obtained her broker’s license and became co-owner of Century 21 Gateway Realty with Brenda Pronto.   She retired in 2011 and moved to the retirement community Ashby Ponds located in Ashburn, Virginia.

Prior to Ashby Ponds she enjoyed antiquing, travelling (especially cruises), her favorite of which was cruising to Alaska.  At Ashby Ponds she participated in several different activities but especially loved being a member of Songbirds and participating in their quarterly concerts.  She also enjoyed participating in the creative arts class on making decorative items from raw clay, all of which she gave to friends and family.   

The family will recieve friends from 10-11am Tuesday December 5, 2023 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 46833 Harry Bird Highway, Sterling, VA  20164 where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.

Burial wiil follow the mass at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­831 Dranesville Road, Herndon, VA  20170
