Obituary of George Richard Caylor
George (Mickey) Richard Caylor, 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2023 with his beloved wife of 62 years, Barbara Jean Caylor, by his side.
Mickey was born on May 14, 1940, in Loudoun County, Virginia. He was the late son of George Marion Caylor and Margaret Allder Caylor. He was also preceded in death by his sister Mary Everhart and brother Ernest Caylor.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five children, Cynthia E. Williams of Warrenton, VA, Richard A. Caylor of Stephens City, VA, Gregory L. Caylor of Stephens City, VA, Jason M. Caylor (Stacey) of Bunker Hill, WV and Jodi C. Bullard (Kevin) of Stephenson, VA; and ten grandchildren Matthew Buchman (Jillian) of Pfafftown, NC, Michael Buchman (Lauren) of Leesburg, VA, Cody Williams (Gina) of Bealeton, VA, Travis Williams of St. Petersburg, FL and Tyler Williams of Warrenton, VA, Cameron and Kyle Caylor of Round Hill, VA, Caylor and Carson Bullard of Stephenson, VA and Austin Caylor of Bunker Hill, WV; and seven great grandchildren Kailey, Madison, Caden and Harper Buchman, Aiden, Eli and Emma Williams.
Mickey enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing and dancing. His greatest joy was his family. Mickey was once part of the Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad, where he was Chief from 1972-1975 and received the ‘Man of the Year Award’. Mickey was a member of the Winchester Moose, for which he served as Governor for many years and received the ‘Lodge Governor’s Award’.
He will be missed by all, but never forgotten.
