Obituary of Dorothy Idelia Williams

Dorothy Idelia Williams of Herndon, Virginia, age 92, passed away on December 16^th, 2023 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.

She was born on January 30^th, 1931, in Mclean, Virginia, to Henry Willard Dailey and Mary Idelia Dailey. She is the widow of the late Irvin Martin Williams. She is survived by her four sons, Donald, Gary, Richard, Bruce, and one daughter, Patricia. She is also survived by one sister, Shirley Cockrell. She was the beloved grandmother of eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

While raising her five children, she enjoyed tending a small greenhouse on the grounds of their family home in Vienna, Virginia.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 21^st, at Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, Virginia, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by funeral services at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, Virginia.

Memorial contributions can be made to the White House Historical Association or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
