Nancy was a valued and respected member of the Marketing & Communications staff for the Fairfax County Public Library, as well as a friend. She singlehandedly raised the professionalism and expertise of the Department and was regularly called upon to bring order from chaos. She was an exceptional member of the Agency's Administrative staff and will be sorely missed by all who knew her within FCPL.

Nancy was my supervisor at my first job out of college and I enjoyed working with her so much that I followed her to two more organizations! She was a wonderful boss - always insightful and encouraging. We became good friends as well as coworkers, and I will miss her laughter, kindness, good counsel, and shining example of putting her Christian faith into words and action. My deepest condolences to her family, whom she loved very much.

Our journey began when we met at a conference in Asia! Her genuine kindness and smile made me to see her differently. I keenly observed her in meetings as she shared her concerns for the people who are suffering in some parts off the world and initiated support for those areas. She actively involved in mission trips and was there for people in distress encouraging them to pursue their goal and hold on to Jesus!
Personally, when we went through a betrayal and animosity from an organization we served for 23 years, Nancy was able to see the injustice there and walked alongside us supporting and standing with us till her death. I have the last text message we exchanged and the birthday wishes we both expressed, since we both are October born. Her warm words, her intelligence, her creativity and a ‘never give up’ attitude was a huge motivation for me to move forward in my life! Her content writing skills are amazing and can’t wait to read her book.
Thank you my dear friend for the impact you created on me, my family and my people. We will truly and ever be grateful! I will miss you in this earthly temporary journey but hopeful to see you in eternity!
May God continue to comfort the bereaved family! Praying for the dear children, siblings and friends of our dear Nancy! Rest In Peace my friend!
