Obituary of Hilda Marie Pepin

Hilda M. Pepin, 90, of Great Falls, Virginia passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Monroe House in Sterling, Virginia.
Hilda was born in Millinocket, Maine on May 9, 1919 to Archie and Laura LaRochelle. A former resident of Winslow, she was employed at the Hathaway Shirt Company in Waterville, Maine for 39 years until her retirement. In 1977, she and her husband, Andrew Sr., moved to Great Falls, Virginia. She delighted in sharing activities with her sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In her retirement, she also enjoyed a part-time job at Hecht's Department Store and was an avid Bridge player.
Hilda is survived by son, E. Marvin (Skip) Pepin and his wife, Laele of Carolina Shores, North Carolina; son Dr. Andrew J. Pepin Jr., and his wife, Francine of Great Falls, Virginia; grandsons Andrew W. Pepin of Las Vegas, Nevada and Daniel A. Pepin and his wife Kristie of Ashburn, Virginia; granddaughters Dr. Ashleigh C. Pepin and Christine M. Pepin of Great Falls, Virginia; twin great grandsons Logan D. and Patrick D. Pepin and great granddaughter, Elliotte K. Pepin of Ashburn, Virginia. She is also survived by sisters Yvonne Lombardi of Lewiston, Maine and Marie Heffren and brother in-law, Vaughn Heffren, of Barefoot Landing, Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew J. Pepin Sr. in 2000 and four brothers and three sisters.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, October 9, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Herndon, Virginia followed by her inurnment alongside her husband at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her name to Capital Hospice, 209 Gibson Street, NW, #202, Leesburg, Virginia 20176-2122
