Dear Mike, Madeline and Caroline and Linda, John and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Kelly's passing. Her Marian Medical Center Family grieves with us. The teachers here at Madeline's and Caroline's first "school", Marian Children's Center, are especially unhappy to hear that such a wonderful family is suffering the death of such a beautiful and dedicated wife and mother. Her family was her focus, her proudest achievement and her heart. She loved all of you with the fiercest passion, and felt there was no greater calling or privilege in life than to be blessed with Mike and "her girls". We had many opportunities to talk about the many facets of motherhood and balancing work, husbands and children. I always found her to be committed to being the very best at all things, but her family was first, including the very close relationship she shared with her mom. I remember sharing many laughs over a glass of the Central Coast's finest at Marian events as well as private celebrations, gourmet dinners and a couple of dinners we put on for charity. She made no secret of the fact that she was not that interested in cooking, but was there for the wine pairings! More than one bottle of Wild Horse Pinot Noir disappeared over an evening of good food and friendship. Her laugh. Her stories as she regaled us with tales from Texas or college experiences. Her sense of humor and that bright, shiny twinkle in her eyes as she adoringly gazrd upon her daughters or lovingly glanced up -way up - at Mike. These are things we shall always remember. I walk by your former home in our neighborhood all the time. I think of all of you every time I see that red door (It's still red!)and the happiness all of you brought to us in your California home. Kelly will always be in our hearts and our prayers and comfort will always be there for those who are left behind to grieve.
