Obituary of Roger Albert Bessom

Bessom, Roger A. (Major USAF Ret.) Age 67 Of Oak Hill, VA on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Reston Hospital. Beloved husband of Daria Bessom. Devoted father of Daniel Aaron (Cathelene) Bessom, and Grant Alexander (Elizabeth) Bessom; Son of John Albert Bessom; Brother of David Alan Bessom and Janet Alane Bessom. He is also survived by two Granddaughters Reagan Aubrey Bessom and Madison Ann Rogers. Major Bessom served 21 years in the U.S. Air Force as a communications electronics engineer. He earned master's degrees in electrical engineering and engineering administration. His civilian career included construction and communications quality assurance engineering. Most recently he was self-employed, specializing in home improvement and repair. An avid photographer, Roger enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, working with computers, and walking with the Mount Vernon Hash House Harriers. A Memorial Service will be held at ADAMS-GREEN FUNERAL HOME. 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM.
