Obituary of Josephine Marie Regis

Josephine Marie Regis, age 76, died on January 27, 2009 at Reston Hospital Center. She was born on August 3, 1932 in New Orleans, LA to the late Joseph and Enez LaFargue Regis. Josephine retired as a social worker having worked in the D.C. Public School System, the Salvation Army, and the Psychiatric Institute, Washington, DC. She loved spending time with her family in the outdoors hiking, caving and camping. Josephine was the loving and devoted mother of Kent Scofield of Damascus, MD, Kirk Scofield of Sterling, VA, Karl Scofield and Kraig Scofield, both of Frederick, MD and the late Keith Scofield, beloved sister of Connie Regis and John Regis, proud grandmother of Kristopher and Laura. A prayer service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 1:00 at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA. Interment will be private. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1211 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Suite 501, Washington, DC 20036.
