Obituary of Hazel H. Rizzo

Hazel Rizzo, a long time Herndon resident passed away Mon. Nov. 23, 2009 at Evergreene Nursing Facility in Stanardsville, VA. She was the wife of Arthur J. Rizzo who preceded her in death in 2001. Hazel was born in Dawson, Texas on Sept. 16, 1912. She worked for the Army Material Command for over 40 years. In retirement she enjoyed painting, cooking, gardening and her family. She is survived by her step-son, Gary A. Rizzo of Herndon and his wife Mary; step-grandsons Nick Rizzo of Potomac Falls and Joseph Rizzo of Morgantown, West Virginia. Her niece Abbie Kehle and her husband Jack of Lake Whitney, Texas and her daughter Julie Slaughter and husband Craig of Duncanville, Texas. A nephew Pat Smith of Michigan. A graveside service will be held at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon at 11:00 am Saturday, Nov. 28 th .
