Obituary of Kenneth B. Roberts

Kenneth B. Roberts, age 90, formerly of Herndon, VA died on June 7, 2009 at his home in Manassas, VA. He was born on September 22, 1918 in Green County, VA to the late William B. and Elizabeth L. Roberts. Ken started out at a road side stand selling fruit from Florida and apples from Virginia, building his business into a blooming Garden Center, Kenny Roberts Garden Center, Fairfax, VA. He supplied the Christmas trees and greenery for the White House. Ken was the beloved husband of the late Alma Roberts, loving and devoted father of June Mayhugh of Manassas, VA, Dennis Roberts of Bunnell, FL and the late Kenny Roberts, brother of Bob Roberts of Gainesville, VA, proud grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, dear friend and companion of Mary Lou Roberts. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 10 th from 6-8pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 11 th at 12 noon. Interment will immediately follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.
