Obituary of Kyle Alec Rowley

Kyle Alec Rowley, age 19 of Herndon, VA died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 15, 2011. He is survived by his parents, Carl & Meryl Rowley; sister, Lexia Sarah Rowley and paternal grandmother, Eleanor Rowley. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, David & Fran Bernstein and paternal grandfather, Lothair Rowley. Memorial Services will be Friday, May 20, 2011 at 3:30 PM at the Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation, 1441 Wiehle Avenue, Reston, VA 20190. Kyle spent time volunteering at the KARE Team Sanctuary in Longs, SC while he was at school. This is a no kill sanctuary where animals receive veterinary care, nutrition and exercise, as well as constant human interaction and affection. KARE Team is a non-profit and operates entirely on donations from the general public. Kyle enjoyed taking the animals on walks, feeding and working with them. He usually called me after he spent an afternoon there, telling me of the type of animals he had cared for that day. I was amazed when he said he took the pit bulls for walks, since as a small child, he was afraid of dogs. He conquered that fear when we got our puppy, Cassie a few years ago and I liked hearing what he was doing.
