Bob was the kindest person I have ever met in my lifetime. He touched my heart as well as my son Dylan's heart. He will be greatly missed here on earth. May he rest in peace.

I met Bob and his wife, Karen, several years ago when I moved into the condo building where they lived. They were the cutest couple. Always so loving and warm. I met them while walking my dog, Romeo- and I also met their dog, Molly, whom they both adored. Karen often told me that she was so happy to have found someone later in life and spoke about how great Bob was to her and to Molly. When Karen passed away suddenly in December (right before Christmas) - I was heartbroken because I knew that Bob would be alone. I would see him walking Molly and would ask how he was doing. He was understandably sad but strong- and said he was "in shock" from her sudden, and unexpected passing. He said that he was doing "ok" with the support of his family and his church. He was quiet but when you spoke to him but you could see what a gentle man he was. Once, I asked him about the beautiful stained glass that was in the window of his apartment and he modestly said that he had made it. It was gorgeous. Recently, I saw him often walking Molly alone and taking the time (as Molly is elderly) to let her stop and take her time walking. He would carry her- when she was having trouble walking up the stairs. That's how much he cared. We talked about the weather and I told him it would be spring soon and to "hang in there". He said for me to hang in there too. He obviously had a gentle heart and spirit. I have been worried about him over the last several months - being so alone. I am somewhat comforted to know that he is now with Karen. Genuine people like him do not come along every day. I am praying for him to rest in peace, and for his family and friends to be comforted at this difficult time.

My condolences to the family and friends of my big brother Bob. He will be badly missed. I had a lot of fun growing up with him in Arlington, visiting the family in Stephens City and family activities. He was a kind person and humorous to boot. I'll miss "Nonolink" or "Big Bawb" greatly. Jimbo

I met Bob and his wife Karen through his brother Jim. On several occasions we met and visited his mother and we all went out to eat lunch he was always such a kind and soft spoken gentleman to both his wife and his mother. I also had the pleasure of visiting him at his home and listened to his wife play on the piano and met Molly. He will be sorely missed and I know that he is now at peace with Karen. My condolences to all his family and friends.
