Peg, Fred, Mark, Randy and Family, I wanted to write to tell you again how sorry I am. There are never the right words to express how deeply sad I feel that you have to endure this loss. Sal will be truly missed by everyone who knew him no matter where they crossed his path in life. Sal’s warm friendship, steadfast encouragement, sense of humor and readiness to sing a Broadway song will be sorely missed. He was always there to quietly listen, offer fatherly advice, display the wisdom gained from years of experience, compliment those around him and play with the glee of a child with every pet within his reach. Good friends like Sal are few in life and it is with a heavy heart that I also grieve with you. His friendship meant the world to me. Memories of our times together, regardless of where we were or what we were doing, will be forever held dear. Saturday morning breakfasts, Sunday afternoon ball games, birthday parties, neighborhood gatherings and annual trips for watch repairs, Veteran’s Day celebrations and winery cookouts just won’t be the same. May your own memories of him as a loving husband and devoted father bring you comfort in the days ahead. Your loss is also my loss, and I am here, at any time, to help you in any way I can.
