Obituary of Michael John Smith

Michael John Smith was born August 27, 1950 in Washington, DC to John Francis and Mary Winston Smith. Mike was called home on December 2, 2011 at his home in Reston, Virginia. He is now reunited in eternal life with his beloved father, Jacko and his nephew Christopher. His joy, love and spirit will live on in his remarkable and devoted sons, Guillaume, Philippe and Adrien. He is survived by; his mother, Mary W. Smith; sisters, Mary Ellen Groff, Terry Gascoigne, and Maureen "Mo" Smith; brothers Kevin Smith and Greg Smith; and his granddaughter, sweet Samantha. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170. The funeral Mass and Celebration of his Life will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 11900 Lawyers Road, Reston, VA 20191 on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 3 o'clock. A reception will follow. Interment will be private.
