Brenda, your phone call with the sad news of John's passing put a dent in our hearts. Know that our thoughts, prayers and love are with you at this time. Dick feels as if he has lost the "brother" he never had and fond memories will linger of times shared over these many past years. Will miss the special "birthday" calls soon approaching. Love from both of us. Marianne

I was very sorry to hear about Uncle John's passing. I have very fond memories of him, especially his great sense of humor and his charismatic personality. The last time I spoke to him over the phone he spoke very lovingly of you. All the Boncelas will miss him

To the Boncela family and especially Carla: Much time has passed since I last spoke to John but his name and memories of our connection come-up often, even after all these years. I thought one day we would meet again but now that is not going to happen. I will keep him in my prayers and I thank him for his inspiration and cherish the memories of the past we shared.

Carla: I am so sorry to hear of your father's death. I know that this will cause a flood of emotions and there will be highs and lows as you cope with the loss. May you always remember the best of times with him, recall some of our wonderful times together, and relish the love he had for you. Please convey to Brenda my sympathy also. Ask her if she recalls visiting Jane and me in Door County, playing "Trivial Pursuit" and her amazement when your father knew the answer, "Appian Way." I shall never forget the four of us laughing and laughing. Let us remember the love and laughter. With deepest sympathy, Lynn

Brenda - I am Richard Boncela's daughter - There are no words to express the sadness in my heart with Uncle John's passing. Uncle John was my favorite Uncle... charming and loving without conditions. He will be forever in my heart. I wish you peace, Brenda. Time is the only way to get there - please know that you have many others - directly or indirectly - who are there for you and support you. ..Susan

Dear Brenda, You may not recognize my last name. I'm Richard Boncela's daughter. I was so saddened to hear about Uncle John's passing. I have such good memories of him. My father is going to miss him a lot. I used to laugh when my dad would tell me about some of his and John's phone conversations. He told me how they would tease each other about their age and how they would challenge each other to remember the other's birthday. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as you move forward through your loss.I will miss Uncle John.
