Larry Forest Stark, age 63, of Herndon, VA died on April 15, 2010 at WCA Hospital, Jamestown, NY. Larry was born on February 7, 1947 in Jamestown, NY. In his early years while living in Jamestown, NY Larry played in the little league and Babe Ruth League, he was in a dance band, the Key Club and on Student Council. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and played on the St. Nicholas Church Softball Team. Larry received both his BA and MBA from Baldwin College. He loved music and played the trombone in both High School and in the Marine Corps division band. Larry was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Larry retired from AT&T and later worked on the President's Council for Y2K and was currently working as a communications consultant for Homeland Security. Larry was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Herndon, VA. He loved golf and instilled that love to his three sons. He volunteered as a marshall at the Herndon Centennial Golf Course. Larry was the beloved wife of 36 years of Patricia A. Stark, loving and devoted father of Geoffrey Nelson Stark (Rachael) of Deptford, NJ, Bryan Austin Stark (Katharine) of Richmond, VA, Justin Burdick Stark of Arlington, VA, son of Jeane Nelson Stark of Jamestown, NY and the late Forest Stark, brother of Elaine Gallup (Stan) of Jamestown, NY, proud grandfather of Anderson Hickok Stark, Uncle of Daniel Gallup and Cathi Gallup, both of Columbus, OH. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 23 rd at 3pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 651 Dranesville Road, Herndon, VA. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to National Hospice Association ( www.nhpco.org/donate ).
