Leonor (Lee) E. Sullivan Of Reston, VA, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2009, at the Cameron Glen Assisted Living Facility in Reston, VA due to colon cancer. She leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years, John, of Reston, VA, her sons, Johnny, of Waldorf, MD, and Jimmy, of Brooklyn, NY, her daughters-in-law Kristen, of Waldorf, MD and Mary, of Brooklyn, NY, her two grandchildren Katie and Andrew, of Waldorf, VA, her three brothers, Rolando, Ricardo, and Dennis, her three sisters, Diana, Virginia, and Cindy, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Sullivan was born in Laredo, TX on 20 November 1939, and joined the CIA in 1963 as part of an Agency program in which Spanish speaking women were recruited to serve as secretaries in Latin speaking countries. Mrs. Sullivan served in several overseas posts, with her last assignment in Saigon, Vietnam from 1971-1975. In retirement Mrs. Sullivan typed and edited her husband John's two books, and was a devoted Grandmother to Katie and Andrew. A wake will be held at the Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA on Wednesday, January 6, from 5-8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas á Becket in Reston, VA on Thursday, January 7 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at noon.
