Personally, I want you to know how much I'll treasure my marathon conversations with Patty that would start with a simple request to send each other's kids home or to arrange a car pool, her orange crushes and witty comments that always made me laugh. To Patty's friends and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Patty, a very sweet soul, is gone too soon. Patty and I were friends and neighbors during high school and got back in touch on FB. I loved how involved she was with her family, how she loved that her son was in marching band, how much she loved her book club friends and the orange crush drinks she liked as a treat. I cannot begin to express how sad I am that Patty is gone. She was a dear friend of my dad, Steve Dodson, and he thought the world of Patty. I first knew Patty when I was 18 and I always thought so much of her because she was funny and spunky. She always made me laugh and I admired that she was sure of herself and it made me want to aspire to be a strong woman.
