Obituary of Margery V. Sweet

Margery Virginia Sweet, age 89, died on January 5, 2008 at her home in Berryville, VA. She was born on December 23, 1918 in Fairfax County, VA to the late Clem T. Farr and Edna Burgess Farr. She was predeceased by her first husband Clyde B. Walker. Margery was the beloved wife of 42 years of William H. Sweet, loving and devoted mother of Loretta Holdaway of Harpers Ferry, WV, Margaret Hanes and her husband Bob of Supply, NC and Jeanie Bertelson and her husband Mike of Purcellville, VA, sister of Helen Gardner, Gladys Beckstrom, Lorene Flick, Gertrude Gardner, Barbara Slaughter and the late Hazel Walker, proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, seven step-great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and numerous other family members. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 9 th at 2pm at Smith's Chapel United Methodist Church, 11318 Beach Mill Road, Great Falls, VA. Interment will immediately follow at Smith's Chapel Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Suite 405, Winchester, VA 22601.
