Obituary of Mary M. Thompson

Mary M. thompson age 79 of Sterling Va. died July 27, 2007 in the comfort of her residence at Tywman's Mills Madison Va., She is survived by her husband of 60 years Harvey Wilson Thompson Sr., sons Harvey Jr., Terry, & Fred. daughters Mary Barbee, Pamela Miller, Catherine Shore & Vickie Bengier. siblings Clarence Martin, Esther Starkey, Betty Whorton, Helen Costello & Allen Martin. 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Mary loved her family and friends and was always ready to help others. During her lifetime she worked as a nursing assistant at Georgetown Hospital, Leesburg Hospital and later was a bus driver for special needs children at Didlake in Manassas. She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence & Rachel Martin, brothers Maurice & William (Billy), and her daughter Frances Drawdy. Visitation will be Monday July 30, 2007 from 12noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Adams Green funeral Home 721 Elden St. Herndon Va. Burial will follow the service at Sterling Cemetery The family has requested memorial donations to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Officiating at the service will the Rev. Carl Barbee.
