(original author unknown- arranged for Cody J. Thompson) Death is nothing at all. It does not count. You have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. You are you, we are we, and the old life we lived so fondly together is untouched. Unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. We will call you by the old familiar name. Speak of you in the easy way which we always used. Put no difference into our tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we all enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of you, pray for you. Let your name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. Why should you be out of sight? We are but waiting, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. Cody, we miss you. We love you. Auntie Val

i pray that god can heal the hurt of your family. and i am greatly sorry for the loss to us all. i love you so much cody. words can not express the hurt inside that we are feeling, i know this must have been something you put much thought into, that you thought would be better for you. but theres holes in floor of heaven so keep an eye out for me buddy. you and i were so close and it sucks that things had to happen this way. you are deeply loved, truely missed, and never forgotten ! i will never be able forget our misfit moments (: and being the new kids in pot falls.. what good times they were. im blessed to have known you. and honored to have had you in my life, especially as good of a friend as you have been to me. i wish we would've gotten more time to spend together since your graduation. but things don't always happen as planned right. Rest In Peace my dear. ♥ much love - " VIC "

Cody will be missed. It was a pleasure to have him in our office. He always made sure to knock on my window and wave to me at my desk. I enjoyed his visits and his bright spirit. May that light shine on in our hearts and memories of his life. My condolences to all that are affected by his loss.

Shane and Liz- All of us in the Holt family send you our love and prayers. We are so lucky to have had Cody in our lives - always thoughtful and considerate and willing to help out in any way. A good man. We will keep him tucked in our hearts. Cody - as your Notes on Human Spirit so rightly say - "when one bad thing comes from life, it also gives us a good thing." That you have left us all behind on this physical earth is the bad thing. We miss you and ache for the pain you were feeling. The good thing is that all of us here knew you, loved you, and will carry you with us in our hearts from here forward. We are better people for having had you touch our lives. Other truths from your Notes: You will never lose us, we will always be there for you, the bonds will not be broken. You have chosen to move to a new place / take another path. We will see you on the flip side. XOXO Momma Holt

If things were bothering you, you still put a smile on. maybe that;s why i never saw completely. You were a good person and a good friend. we had some great conversations, skype buddy, even if they happened after i left Mclean. you were genuine and that kind of person is hard to come by. I wish you were still around. I can see that many people care about you, and that is not going to change anytime soon. You'll always be remembered as a fantastic person and friend. Maybe I should have told you that more before... I hope your in a better place now. wish it was a different way, but i wish you the best. love you cody. I'll be visiting you
