Obituary of Eleanor Jane Thompson

Eleanor J. Thompson died on 29 September 2010 in Reston, Virginia. Born May 6 th , 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Thompson, and is survived by her sons Jeff Thompson and Randy Thompson. A devoted mother, she dedicated her life to raising her family. In retirement to Salem, South Carolina, Eleanor was an active member of the Walhalla Catholic church and enjoyed getting together locally with friends as well as trips abroad. During her later years, she resided close to her sons in Alabama and Virginia. Wherever she lived, she brought a smile to all who knew her. She passed away in peace after a short illness. Inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery December 30 th , 2010. As we used to say on the way out the door to catch the school bus, "'bye Mom"!
