Obituary of James Carl Traeger

Lt. Col. James C. Traeger (Ret.), age 64 of Sterling, VA died on January 7, 2008 at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Center. He was born on February 19, 1943 in Horicon, WI to the late Clarence and Rosella Traeger. Jim retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service, then went on to work for Northrop-Grumman for the past 21 years as a program manager. Jim was the loving father of Cassandra Traeger of Rockville, MD and Tanya Traeger of Sterling, VA, brother of Sister Nancy Traeger, Tom Traeger, Kathryn Matenaer, and the late John Traeger and George Traeger. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 12 th from 10am to 11am at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 46639 Algonkian Pwy, Potomac Falls, VA. Interment will be held with full military honors on Monday, March 24 th at 3pm at Arlington National Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Northern Virginia Metro Area, 7203 Poplar Street, Annandale, VA 22003.
