To Gretchen, Sons, and all of the Trimble Family, please know how saddened I and so many members of my Cumerland family were to learn of Steve's untimely and unexpected passing. It is even more ironic and bittersweet to come not so long after Miss Delores' passing. We hold you in our thoughts and prayers, with a belief that the Lord will bring you comfort, in time. Steve was a great man who positively impacted the lives of many. His character and spirit will live on! Bless you all, stay strong!

Trimble Family: Please accept my sincere condolences for your tragic loss. It was an honor to coach teams that competed against Coach Trimble's Knights and an even greater honor to spend time talking to him about our families and players. We took great pride and delight in discussing the wonderful contributions that his sons and my former player, Andrew Rodriguez, were making at West Point. I regret that my assignment for the Department of the Navy prevents me from joining you at this difficult time. My God bless Steve and all of you, now and always.

Dear Gretchen & family, I pray for your peace and strength. I am so sorry to hear of Coach Trimble's sudden death. My son met Coach the summer before Freshman Year. He was so impressed with the encouragement and focus of Coach Trimble that he went on to play Freshman Football. Now, my son, Dennis, is a small sized kid, one that I never imagined would take on high school football. But his one year on the team happened only because he came to believe, as did Coach Trimble, that any young boy can "grow up" in unexpected ways, given time and encouragement. Thank you Coach for that timely advise to my son and to my family. We miss you!
