Jane Harriett Beeton Bouteiller, 90, of Sterling, died peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Johnson Center, Falcon's Landing. She was born in Gordonsville, Virginia on December 14, 1919, the daughter of the late Anna and Frank Beeton. She was preceded in death by her sister Kathleen Butler, and her two brothers Frank Beeton, Jr. and Ralph Beeton. Jane graduated from Manassas High School in Manassas, VA and attended Mary Washington College. During WW II, she worked at the Bureau of Ships in Washington, D.C., where she met her future husband, Cmdr. Griswold (Bout) Ladd Bouteiller. Jane will always be remembered for her deep love of family and friends. She cherished the life of a Navy wife and especially loved her time in Tokyo, Japan, and Arlington, Massachusetts. After the Navy, Jane lived in McLean for 34 years. She very much enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and bridge at Washington Golf and Country Club. Jane is the beloved wife of 63 years of Bout Bouteiller, loving and devoted mother of David Bouteiller and his wife, Nancy of Newport News, Virginia; Nancy Bouteiller Barnes and her husband, Lindsay, of Kamuela, Hawaii; proud grandmother of Allyson Manley, David Bouteiller, Jr., Lindsay Barnes III, and Andrew Barnes, great-grandmother of Madison Grace, Gavin, Miller Elizabeth, Maycie Gray, and Emma Grace, sister of Helen Fines, Frances Kane, Pauline Ambrogi, Nancy Fritz, and Beth Ann Vice, sister-in-law of Doris Beeton and Virginia Beeton Brown. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 26 th at 3pm at Falcons Landing Chapel, 20522 Falcons Landing Circle, Potomac Falls, VA 20165. Graveside services at Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Adams-Green Funeral Home, Herndon, VA.
