Steve was a great guy. We worked together at the DNI. Our assignment required bi-monthly trips to attend status meetings. On our first trip to CA, we shared a car. Unfortunately, Steve had to ride with me. My navigation skills are minimal. Our hotel was only blocks away from the meeting location, but each morning and afternoon, Steve would patiently tell me exactly where to turn to reach our destination (day after day...) I appreciated his patience and his gentle sense of humor. His friendship and kindness will be missed. The world is a better place for his having been here.
