My father is not with us But my father did not die He is with the lord in heaven Watching over us as our lives go by His spirit will always be there Deep within our hearts Remembrances too many Of which we’ll never part Though my eyes are filled with tears I am thankful that I had you To love and guide me through the years In this life that we pass through Your strength knew no bounds Your support we always found No matter where we may have strayed You were always there to aid Your teachings I will try to follow Though we may have disagreed It’s your wisdom that you gave That I will always try to heed I have to close these thoughts Though goodbye it is not You will forever walk softly In my mind and heart Until our spirits meet again Dad... I love you. Mark

Chet, As your future daughter-in-law, I want to express my deep sorrow for the loss of you in my life. While I am relieved for you that you are resting in peace with our Lord, I am heartbroken for all of us left on earth who have to continue on without you. I am so thankful for the memories of our time together and countless hours of phone conversations. I will always greatly appreciate your sincere thankfulness to me for helping raise your grandson Dylan. Your kind words will not be forgotten and will strengthen me in the days ahead. Love Always, Maria

I've missed seeing Chester at Sunday's 7:30am mass. So much time had passed without me asking Joanna how Chester was or to say hello to him. I'm sorry for that because I so enjoyed his smile each week when he was able to come. During 7:30am coffee, Chester quietly observed and seemed to enjoy the fellowship of the other parishioners. He was pleasant to talk with, and Chester always had a friendly, nice face. I took for granted Chester would return and be with us again at mass and coffee. When I would see Joanna, the weekly anticipation of possibly seeing Chester again and having a chance to let him know he was missed was been a part of many of my Sundays. I regret I did not tell Chester how much a part of Sunday morning he was for me. Chester was a fixture at Sunday mass, and he will be in my thoughts on Sunday mornings. Goodbye Chester, and thank you for being such an important part of my worship experience. Donna

I was among Chet's co-workers who treasured his smile, his knowledge, his eagerness to help others and his devotion to this nation's defense. We all respected Chet's integrity, his willingness to speak up for what was right, if not popular, and his genuine fondness for many of us. Some of us wanted to visit him in recent years, but he put us off, perhaps wishing us instead to remember our days of vibrant camaraderie and hard work when we were all energetic in defense of freedom through knowledge. I will miss him and wish i could have embraced him again years ago. My heartfelt condolences go to his hamily, whose happy memories of a life so well lived will, I pray, bring comfort and even smiles.

I was assigned to work for Chet as a young and inexperienced staff officer some thirty years ago. His kindness and willingness to share his vast knowledge of the ways of the federal bureaucracy made him the perfect mentor. The lessons I learned from him carried me through a long and rewarding career. What impressed me most, though, was his love for his family. He always proudly shared with us the accomplishments, and sometimes tribulations, of his children and grandchildren, and I was under strict orders to interrupt him, no matter what he was doing, if he had a phone call from home. His family will not be surprised to learn that we called him "dziadziu" too. It was an honor to have known him.
