Retired Army Officer and House Of Representatives USCP, Carl Leslie McGraw, 85, passed away at Inova Loudoun Hospital on March 9th, 2012. Mr. McGraw was born in Arkwright, SC. He was a decorated Army Veteran who served his country as a United States Military Police Officer in Foreign Wars. He was also a retired Capital Police Officer for the House of Representatives in Washington DC. He loved reading, gardening, taking walks and caring for his family. Mr. McGraw was preceeded in death by his parents, C. Mike and Mary Winstead McGraw, and his siblings, John and Paul McGraw. He is survived by his wife Janice Kulic McGraw, daughter Wanda Lee McGraw, grandchildren Silver Landin and Dave Starkey, three great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, a sister, Vera Downy and a nephew, James Downy, both of California; three step-children, Diane Smith-Krebs, Nanette Kulic and John Kulic, as well as six step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. The Memorial will be held at Adams - Green Funeral Home located at 721 Elden Street in Herndon, VA on Friday, March 16, at 2:00pm. The burial and Military Service will take place at Arlington National Cemetery and will be announced in the Washington Post at a later date. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to the Disabled American Veterans at PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
