Ours, Myrtis Eloise Shealy On Monday, March 26, 2012, at Meadow Glen Assisted Living Home in Leesburg, Virginia. Eloise was born October 8, 1921 in Newberry County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Lincoln Shealy and Ivy Juliet Long Shealy. Eloise came to Washington, DC in 1942 where she worked in the Chemical Warfare Department. There she met her husband of over 46 years, the late John H. Ours. Eloise was the devoted mother of John W. Ours, Warren Ours, Brian Ours, and was preceded in death by son Stephen Ours and an infant daughter. She has been blessed with 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Eloise was a founding member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Herndon, Virginia where she worshipped and served as a Sunday School Teacher and Alter Guild member for more than 45 years. Relatives and friends are invited to Eloise's Life Celebration at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1090 Sterling Road, Herndon, Virginia on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 6-8 PM and where Funeral Services will be held on Friday March 30, 2012 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be sent to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. .
