Nelly Elizabeth Thompson 10-4-1934 to 4-6-2012 Born in Bluefield, WV. Oldest of the 9 children born to William and Virginia Thompson (both deceased). Worked as a telephone operator for AT & T before marrying John E. Barbagallo in 1954. Mother to Mark E. Barbagallo, (deceased), Diane Barbagallo Davison, D. Joy Barbagallo O'Rourke, Michael J. Barbagallo, and Matthew R. Barbagallo. Settled in Sterling, Virginia in 1963 where she lived many years of her life. Remarried in 1975 to Hazan Z. Bataineh, and bore her 6th child, Hasan Z. Bataineh, Jr. in 1976. Loving grandmother to: Joseph Loyacano, Becky Lynn Loyacano Street, John W. Barbagallo, Lizzie A. Barbagallo, Morgan S. Barbagallo, David Barbagallo, Joey P. Davison, Leila R. Bataineh and great granddaughter Emma G. Loyacano. Charter member of Jaycettes, co-Founder of the Blue Ridge Players, celebrated author and artist, member of Ashburn Presbyterian Church, where she was a dedicated member of the choir, Stephens Minister and devoted volunteer chaplain at Inova Loudoun Hospital.
