I regret having visited my relatives infrequently, and I even forget sometimes who they are (sorry, Meredith!) but I do remember all the times I was with Uncle George. He was cheerful and fun to be around, but a professional man who always made a deep impression with his political and social comments - at least an impression on me. An example was his intriguing theory of "blue money," though I have long since forgotten the details. It was not easy to raise a family in the 60s and 70s, but he and Joanne did it well. I really enjoyed my stays as a kid with the Schreiners. I will miss him, though perhaps he will be a great spiritual help for me now that he is in heaven. I can give him some important spiritual matters to take care. Goodbye, Uncle George.

Uncle George was always generous, witty, and kind. He was larger than life, it seemed, and a joy to be around. I will always remember him as a gentleman and scholar, but most of all as an affectionate uncle. I will miss him and I extend my deepest condolences to my cousins and their families. I have no doubt but that our Lord welcomed my uncle to life everlasting. May Uncle George rest in peace. Andrew and Liza Bloomer

Schreiner Cousins, we are so sorry to hear of Uncle George's death. It's hard to believe someone that full of life would someday be gone. But what a life he had, and he impacted so many other lives that we can only be grateful to God for having given the world such a sharp intellect and gregarious and generous spirit. May you all take comfort that he has finally been reunited with his beautiful bride, Aunt Joanne. And may the Holy Spirit provide you consolation at this time. Fondly in this Easter Season, Liz and Chris Phelan
