Obituary of Frances Emma Smith

Frances Emma Smith December 1935 - April 2012 Resident of Jackson, Georgia After a long and admirable battle with Scleroderma Frances passed away in the arms of her daughters and son-in-law in Potomac Falls, Virginia on April 19th @ 2:00 AM. Frances was one of six children born to Elbert and Maude Jones. She was the beloved sister of Mildred, Maurice, Ralph, Dorothy and her surviving and dedicated sister Margaret. She is also survived by her devoted family - daughters Karen Hall & husband Ken, Rita Smith and two treasured grandchildren Crystal Mangum and Colin Remmark. Her youngest daughter, Paula preceded her in death in 1982. Frances was loved and respected by her nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers. She touched many lives with her wonderful sense of humor and her courage was an inspiration to all. She fought the good fight with scleroderma for 36 years outliving the doctor's prognosis by 31 years. All the while she bravely maintained the attitude that "tomorrow will be a better day' right up until the the time the Lord called her home. Special thanks go to her joyful caregiver and friend Corie, Yul and Steve from Norva Home Healthcare and The West Team with Evercare Hospice. There will be a viewing for family from 9:30-12:30 on Monday, April 23rd and friends are invited to an intimate graveside service @ 12:45 to be led by her nephew and Pastor, Larry Jones from Albany, Kentucky.
