Obituary of Daniel Landis Detwiler

Dr. Daniel Landis Detwiler, Jr. June 13, 1934 - April 22, 2012 Dr. Daniel Landis Detwiler, Jr. 77, of Sterling, VA passed away April 22, 2012. He was born June 13, 1934 in Herndon, Va; son of the late Dr. Daniel L. Detwiler and Thelma T. Detwiler, Daniel ( Dick as known by friends and family) graduated from the Medical College of Virginia and served as a dentist in the U.S Navy. He later practiced in Herndon for 40 years. He was married to the late Doris Bell Detwiler and was a member of the Great Falls Church of Christ. He is survived by two children, Daniel L. Detwiler, III (Cyndi) of Berryville, VA and Benjamin Elliot Detwiler (Anna) of Boyce, VA, and two grandsons, JD and Thomas. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:30 am on Monday April 30, 2012 at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St., Herndon, Va 20170. A private interment will take place at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital Caring, 2900 Telestar Ct. Falls Church, Va 22042.
