Nick is a special person...We always seemed to cross paths after the many years that he was my star soccer player. He grew as a player but more importantly he grew as a person of compassion. In an all-star game, I asked Nick to mark the opponent's top player (that means stay close to him the entire game - a lot of running...). He did so, in spite of the fact that he probably wanted to go score some goals. That was Nick, he forgot about his personal goals for the good of the team, for the good of those he loved. He carried this trait forward in life! He was a compassionate player, a compassionate son, a compassionate Dad...He lived a short, yet full life. I will miss seeing him at Safeway and in Great Falls. But my spiritual beliefs remind me that Nick remains close to his family and will help guide his daughter and comfort his family through their life. That's Nick! Thinking of others and not himself! Love to you Nick, Coach Phil

Dave, there are no words that I can say at this time that will bring immediate comfort. However, having gone though the loss of someone so very young and very dear to me, there is one thing I do know and can tell you. Today is a new day. This day we will never see again. As each new day dawns, you will not miss him any less, however, over time the tears become laughter and the thoughts of your son will become an album of which you may glance at anytime time and any place. My thoughts are with you and your wife.
