So sad to find out today of Jack's passing. For years he and I were the first into the building at OHS, both coming from Chantilly. His love for kids of all ages was mutual....the teens and the lines of elementary littles all learned to share his passion for the heavens. It was the most requested performance for Night on the Oaktown....however many shows we had they weren't enough. He is the most asked about of my colleagues by the alumni. Instead of Star Gazing, now he must be walking on starry paths in the heavens. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. May you too look forward to the day when our loving Creator will reverse the process of human sickness and death. In the meantime, please be assured that our loving Father will help you to endure the burden of your aches and pains because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)

We were so, so sorry to hear of Jack's passing he was such an inspiration to me, as a teacher and to both of our boys as they made their way through Oakton High School. Do you remember Jack coming into the planetarium, when Jeremy was in Tiger Cubs, to put on a special show for those precious 6 year olds? What love he had for kids of all ages and for his Planetarium. I also remember Sally Walton and I looking forward to our annual field trip to visit Jack, he always went above and beyond. Oh, then there was the fight at Oakton between Jer and another young man that Jack go in the middle of and ended up on his rear, with his typical baritone yelling at Jer to get the xxxxx into the planetarium and sit!!! Hey Katie, do you remember that Rex our classes made together, hard to believe he kept that around for so long. But that's just how Jack was. Jack was truly one of a kind and will be missed dearly by so many. Please know that our hearts break for you and the family and that if there is anything you need or that we can do for you that we are here. God’s blessings, hugs and love to each of you.
