Robert Laurence Waning, 67, of Sterling VA, passed away on Saturday June 23, 2012 at Loudoun Hospital Center. Beloved husband of Alicia Waning of Sterling VA, loving father of Fred Waning of Ashburn VA and Michael Waning of San Diego CA. Loving grandfather of Nico, Collin, and Gavin. A devoted catholic, Robert was an avid volunteer with the church and enjoyed delivering nationwide retreats focused on strengthening marriages and the Catholic faith. Family will receive friends on Wednesday June 27, 2012 from 6 -8pm at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 46833 Harry Byrd Highway Sterling VA, 20164, where a mass of Christian burial will take place the following day, Thursday June 28 at 10:00am.
