Obituary of Walter Jackson Bullock

Walter J. Bullock, 81, of Colonial Beach, VA and Great Falls, VA passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 at his home in Colonial Beach with family by his side. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1948-1952 on the U.S.S. TANAGER. He retired from Virginia Power, formerly VEPCO, in 1992 after 40 years. He was a member of the Herndon Masonic Lodge #264, Kena Shriners, Camel Herders, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8241 and past Member of Moose Lodge #1267. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Bullock Sheets; the light of his life and apple of his eye, his grand-daughter Sarah Christine Sheets and his Spouse, Evelyn Beach Bullock. He is also survived by his brothers, Alfred Lawrence Bullock (Lois); Paul Bullock (Ramona); sisters, Ellen Bennett (Jack); Dorothy Courtney; Norma Rumbaugh (Vince); along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald W. Bullock. Visitation will be 2-4pm and 6-8pm Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St, Herndon, VA 20170. Masonic Service will be held at 8pm Sunday July 1, 2012. Funeral service will be 11am Monday, July 2, 2012 at Adams-Green Funeral Home with interment at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Herndon, VA. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital in memory of Walter J. Bullock and mailed to Kena Shriners, 9001 Arlington Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22031.
