Hi Phil...for years I thought you were only a figment of Ruth's imagination. She proudly spoke of you but we only recently just met (oh,..and may I say, you were a terrific hugger ;). Okay, I digress....I wish beyond words that you were still here and am so sorry for your struggle but know now that you are without pain and discomfort. For the sparkle to added to Ruth's eyes and for loving a friend of mine...I give sincere 'thanks'. Even without a story book ending, you surely created a beautiful love story and made some amazing memories. Your dedication to each other gave me hope...still does. I will continue praying for the ones left behind but ask that you be an Angel and forever watch over the ones that love you. P.S. I grew up with Phil in Northeast Philly. We lived about 6 houses from one another. We went to grade school/high school together and spent a lot of time hanging out in the woods building forts and having fun.
I'll miss Phil and wish he could have made our St. Dom's reunion in 2008.

Phil, I love you and miss you so very much. You will forever be my SUGAR BEAR. You showed me more love in the last 3 years than I have ever known. I love that you were all about making memories instead of collecting things. Even though you did a fine job of collecting "stuff". We had such great adventures--races, rallies, camping, our cross country road trip (with only one fight at Graceland), Ocean City, Philadelphia, New York last Christmas and karaoke on New Year's Eve when you sang to me. But we also made a home where we laughed, loved, fought, forgave, played like children, cried with and comforted each other. You are the husband of my heart. Like the sign we had in our room - "ENJOY THE JOURNEY...LIFE IS NOT ABOUT THE NUMBERS OF BREATHS YOU TAKE, BUT THE MOMENTS THAT TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY".
